Hands on Cafe Description:
Get ready to enjoy some edible art. Hands On Café is the cafeteria of the Oregon College of Art & Craft, housed on a rolling wooded campus just a ten-minute drive from downtown. When the weather is warm, there's a charming patio ringed with pine trees where you can take your tray. The beautiful plates and cups are all hand-thrown and fired in the school's kilns, and students and faculty decorate the café. As for the fare, you'll find only a few choices each day, but everything is appealing and affordable. Choices may include wild mushroom enchiladas, salmon with blackberry sauce, or a Brazilian seafood stew. After a meal, browse the gallery and gift shop or stroll about, looking into the various studios, each dedicated to a different artistic medium.
