Dragonfish Asian Cafe Description:
Fancy drinks and fresh food combine in a perfect storm here. This sleek Asian café is shiny and contemporary, fab for an after-work drink or before-movie meal---it's located across the street from the Fox Theatre, Portland's indie flick haven. The sushi bar and giant aquarium provide the eclectic and cosmopolitan atmosphere Portlanders crave. The lengthy cocktail list includes such exotic drinks as the Kongmopolitan, Wasabi Mary and Pink Dragon, while the Electric Blowfish nearly glows. The restaurant's Pan-Asian cuisine is designed for easy sharing. Small plates include such treats as crispy lobster cakes and spicy lamb pillows. Those seeking breakfast will find plenty of traditional choices mixed in with the exotic.

I love the happy hour at Dragonfish Asian Cafe in Portland's Paramount Hotel. The prices are amazing, and the service is very good. Sometimes it is difficult to get a table, but it is worth the wait. You should try to get there early, though. There is a limit of 6 appetizers per person, and some are small, but coupled with some great sake, great atmosphere with an asian mystique, and a lot of wonderful servers who handle the crowds with ease, it is a pleasing after-work experience. I think it is one of the best happy hour values in Portland.
