Alexis Description:
The Alexis is a friendly, family-run business, and it shows in the warm welcome for guests. Greek classics are what it's all about here, and the food will make any Hellenophile salivate with fantasies of Aegean pleasures. It's possible to make a meal with appetizers alone---creamy tzatziki, crisped tiropites and satin-smooth melitzano---but we think the calamari is the best, never oily and always crunchy, loaded with the briny flavors of the sea. There's a range of retsina, wine and beer. Large groups (five or more) can partake in cost-effective family-style meals. The atmosphere is lively, and there's no need to break plates in order to feel the gusto.
