In Good Taste Description:
Sometimes the best meals are the ones you cook yourself. In Good Taste isn't really a restaurant, it's Portland's leading cooking school. But the school's classes take the form of a chef-teacher preparing a meal for fifteen people who sit around a crescent-shaped table watching him or her cook, listening to explanations, and then consuming the results as each course is completed. The three-hour session is as good as going to a restaurant and sharing that experience with one's fellow diners plus the cook. Dinners and menus vary widely---from Provence, central Mexico, a French vineyard feast, an autumn harvest celebration, an entire dinner featuring puff pastry or another centered on garlic. There are opportunities for hands-on learning as well. In Good Taste also has an additional location in Lake Oswego.
