Gracie's Description:
A blast to the past can be a very fine thing. This elegant dining room in the Hotel deLuxe pays homage to the Golden Age of Hollywood with fine architectural details such as a gold-leaf ceiling and glass chandeliers. The cuisine, however, honors the current Golden Age of Portland dining with continental dishes prepared with fresh, seasonal Pacific Northwest ingredients. Menu items may include a hearty Northwest seafood stew with a tomato fennel broth, and a smoked Oregon pork chop served with braised greens and baby turnips. There are also classic sandwiches and breakfast is available all day. Sunday brunch is something special here and not to be missed. The varied menu has many stars, including German pancakes topped with Calvados brandied apples, brown sugar and raisins.
