But you'll not fail to note the richness of interior detail, including dazzling gilt and crystal chandeliers. Immersed in a romantic ambience, couples get engaged here, and some go on to celebrate their marriage in the integral banquet facilities. Request a window table, but they're at a premium and allotted on a first-come first-served basis. Order a dry martini with a twist. It comes in a vintage cocktail shaker, with iced glasses. Sip, relish the breathtaking view of the city, then glide into elegant nostalgia with tableside preparations---Caesar salad, steak Diane, Châteaubriand for two.
