Roberto Cafe Description:
This rustic 30-seat café is from brothers Roberto and Fernando Vincenti, who, along with chef Isidro "Ciro" Ramos, last worked at Radicchio in Old City. The restaurant is adorned simply, with faux brick walls, a minimalist urban patio out back and an open kitchen. Although visits have sometimes shown a lack of oversight in the kitchen---overcooked fish, a lackluster Caesar salad---stick with the basics and you won't be disappointed. The penne amatriciana spiked with briny pancetta and veal saltimbocca are two that deliver. Expect a wait on the weekends, since reservations aren't an option.
