Italian Bistro Description:
One of two Philly locations (with a third in New Jersey), this Northeast branch of Italian Bistro has twinkling lights and a welcoming vibe. A good spot to please a variety of diners---from vegetarians to steak eaters and everybody in between---the Bistro delivers solid Italian fare. And---what a novelty---soup, salad and focaccia are included with every entrée. Pastas---such as plain spaghetti al pomodoro or penne Siciliana---are homemade, and old standbys such as eggplant Parmigiana are tasty. More than 100 menu items make choosing tough, but one may start with a mozzarella salad or polenta with mushrooms, or just have a pizza or roast chicken, and then check out the changing desserts that are displayed in front.
