Friday Saturday Sunday is counted upon by townies for dependable food and very personal service, also for one of the best-priced (just $10 above cost) wine lists around. Owner Weaver Lilly has worked with chef Reese Skulteti to craft an approachable American menu that includes a first-rate jumbo lump crab cake, rare tuna with wasabi, grilled chipotle barbecued shrimp, a daily salmon preparation and a tasty double-thick pork chop with roasted garlic Roquefort sauce. Still, longtime patrons can find the chicken Dijon, roast duck and poached salmon that they've enjoyed for years. The pastry chef continues the restaurant's policy of decadent desserts with Kahlúa pie, coconut cream pie, Jewish apple cake and more. The romantic upstairs bar, with its glowing aquarium, is a good destination for cocktails and after-dinner drinks.
