Bridget Foy's South Street Grill Description:
The bistro atmosphere of dark green banquettes, surrounding mirrors and marble tables is relaxed and casual. The windows are large enough to bring the outside in, in case you don't want to sit curbside to view the passing parade. Nearly everyone comes by this busy corner, including horse-drawn carriages carting tourists through historic Society Hill. Start with pot stickers, spicy pork tacos and garlicky mussels. Then move on to dishes like the crab cakes with Creole rémoulade and tender meatloaf with crimini gravy. A trio of hummus, an array of salads and a first-rate eggplant napoleon will please the vegetarians in the crowd. Seasonal fruit desserts such as cobblers and sorbets are always fine.
