World Cafe Live Description:
Chef Matthew Babbage cooks up a tasty menu of salads, wraps and American specialties, along with the occasional international wine dinner, before a nightly line-up of live music acts in University City. The upstairs café also serves a daily lunch special, and hosts a busy happy hour. To dine downstairs, you'll need a ticket for the show, an eclectic array of musical guests playing everything from blues to blue grass. Chef Babbage changes the menu nightly, often in keeping with the musical theme. An Israeli salad, dried currant basmati rice and tahini might be on the menu for an Israeli jazz festival, while fejoida, a black bean and pork stew native to Brazil, makes an appearance for Carnival.
