Le Bistrot d'Henri Description:
The charming and intimate Bistrot d'Henri offers an imaginative, well-prepared menu at a reasonable price. The 'seven hour' leg of lamb is particularly recommended.
A tiny Left Bank bistro with a dozen marble tables tightly squeezed into a small, unpretentious room, Le Bistro d'Henri is decorated with paintings of people dining on these very premises. The menu is read from a blackboard and the endearing staff delivers those simple, rustic dishes with grace and aplomb. Starters include foie gras terrine, entrecôte, bone marrow, and eggs scrambled with chanterelles. Continue forward with tripe à la Caen, a beautiful filet of salmon in béarnaise sauce, duck confit, and kidneys naturale. Hidden on one of those little side streets in the bustling St-Sulpice area, Henri is a solid, affordable find.
