Moderately priced, family restaurant with a wide variety of Italian dishes ranging from plain old spaghetti and pizza to more exotic specialty dishes. Simple atmosphere: white table cloths and classical music in the background, some orchestral and some opera. One large dining room but seldom noisy. Reservations are good but usually not necessary for prompt seating.
Traditional Italian restaurants seem to be a dying breed. Too often tasty old-school Italian food is fused with some other type of cuisine, and not with the best results. DaVinci's offers pizza and just plain pasta with a variety of sauce options, as well as the old baked standbys: lasagna and manicotti. The kitchen also cranks out some delightful classic entrées such as veal saltimbocca and cioppino. Seriously hungry diners can opt for DaVinci's Feast, a traditional five-course dinner sure to quell hunger pangs. The ambience is cozy, service is efficient, and the food is consistently good.
