Cameron's American Bistro Description:
One of multiple fine dining institutes founded by Cameron's restaurants, this one focused on American eclectic cuisine. Homemade desserts and bread add to the atmosphere.
This is the original in the successful Cameron Mitchell restaurant family, and it continues to impress, though perhaps not with quite the flair of other venues like Mitchell's Steakhouse and Martini's. The dining room is comfortably small but prone to being noisy. Almost all of the steaks, chops and poultry dishes come with the classic trimmings, but inventive sauces raise them above standard meat-and-potatoes fare. The Parker House cod with Ritz cracker crust, garlic mashed potatoes, broccolini and shallot cream affords a good reason to venture off of the comfort-food track. Or try the roast duck with honey chile glaze, horseradish-cabbage whipped potatoes and roasted vegetables. Save room for the New Orleans bread pudding with vanilla bean anglaise and raspberry coulis.
