Pit master Dan Wakefield smokes pork, beef, chicken and turkey at this branch of Big Bob Gibson. Among the more unusual entrées (for a 'cue joint) are salmon, catfish and chicken tenders. In addition to sweet tea, you may also enjoy some "adult beverages" at this location. Big Bob Gibson developed the white barbecue sauce, so legend has it, for a friend who was allergic to tomato; it's a mayonnaise-based sauce with a good hit of black pepper, so it's just as tasty as the traditional tomato- or vinegar-based sauces. Some folks reserve it for chicken, but it works as well on pork or beef brisket.
