Parking:

Auckland Zoo has two large carparks providing free offstreet parking for cars, charter buses and tour coaches. In the event of a sold out event, Seddon Fields adjacent to zoo (Old Mill Road) will be opened for extra parking.

Driving direction to Auckland Zoo:
Auckland Zoo is located just west of Downtown Auckland in the beautiful Western Springs Reserve on Motions Road.

From the City (westbound)
Take the Northwestern motorway then exit at the offramp marked Zoo/MOTAT. Turn right over the motorway, left onto Great North Road and then first right onto Motions Road.

From the South (northbound)
From the Southern Motorway take the Helensville/Waitakere exit to join the Northwestern motorway. Exit at the offramp marked Zoo/MOTAT. Turn right over the motorway, left onto Great North Road and then first right onto Motions Road.


From the West (eastbound)
Take the North Western Motorway toward the city and exit at the Point Chevalier offramp. Travel citybound along Great North Road and turn left into Motions Road.

From the North (southbound)
After crossing the Harbour Bridge exit at Cook Street, turn right onto Hobson St and join the North Western Motorway. Exit at the offramp marked Zoo/MOTAT. Turn right over the motorway, left onto Great North Road and first right onto Motions Road.
