Redbar Brasserie Description:
Red/bar brasserie is designed as a colonial-style eatery with a small bar area and an airy dining room dotted with potted palms surrounded by multi-pane windows. The lively scene heats up in the summer when it is impossible to get in without a reservation. Choose among solid bistro fare such as plump mussels in a pungent white wine broth or charred lamb carpaccio under a tide of sun-dried tomatoes, olive and caper vinaigrette (served with aïoli), before digging into the homey garganelli pasta with veal ragù peppered with sage. None of the toothpick-size ladies are ordering the rich chocolate truffle cake but they should: it's pure, dark pleasure.
