An easy fifteen minute drive from Albany, Villa Valenti offers traditional Italian dining in a relaxed atmosphere. In the restaurant business for three generations, the Valenti family not only runs a restaurant and catering business, but they also bottle and sell their pasta sauces. Choose your antipasti for one or for four, hot or cold. Try the chicken Saverio, named after the family patriarch: chicken breast rolled around ham, provolone and greens, served with a mustard cream sauce. Angus beef, fresh-cut veal and homemade pastas let you know this family is still cooking the way their great-grandparents did. The coffee and desserts are just okay, but you won't care halfway through your generously portioned entrée.
