This Millwood restaurant's impressive manor house exterior gives way to a spacious and airy main dining space adorned with multi-colored decorative paintings, dark carpeting, bright yellow walls and chocolate brown beams. Wall sconces cast a soft light upon the more intimate rear dining area. The menu of well-executed traditional Italian fare include an antipasto caldo, a hot appetizer trio of baked clams, broiled shrimp and eggplant rollatini with fresh ricotta, a nice preview of what Spaccarelli's has to offer. The gamberi arrabiata, shrimp sautéed in olive oil, garlic and red pepper flakes, is a spicier starter option. But the restaurant's culinary expertise lies in its veal entrées served scaloppini-style or in thinly sliced cutlets. The menu boasts over ten veal options and among these, the scaloppine di vitello alla mignonette, layers of veal, eggplant and mozzarella, is a nicely prepared standout. The fresh mozzarella and eggplant works well with the veal, providing a balance of both flavors and textures.
