This old boarding house with a raucous reputation dates back to the beginning of the twentieth century and is now a real gastropub with a spirited atmosphere. Stashed away in the historic mews at the very center of town, Rowdy Hall offers whopping portions of bistro favorites. The copper bar, fireplace, and the arts and crafts knickknacks create a cozy, rustic venue for sampling the upscale pub fare. Be it in August or off-season, the main celeb sightings you'll make here are on the menu: a croque monsieur; the Rowdy burger, a towering specimen; and super fresh salads. The steamed mussels appetizer is a meal in itself, as is the cheesy onion soup. A good selection of local microbrews on tap rounds out a no-nonsense eatery.
