Sazerac House Description:
Housed in the space that was previously occupied by Sazerac House, this pub-restaurant is named after the gent who had the building erected in the 1820s. With a dozen or so beers on tap---including the creamy Old Speckled Hen---Bayard's boasts a U-shaped bar and plenty of dark wood, making it a more than decent place to quaff pints. But come as you might to drink, it's hard to leave without being tempted by the large menu of pub grub, all of which is good, but nothing to criss-cross the city for. The hamburger is saved by melted blue cheese and bacon while the substantial shepherd's pie is big, comforting and bland---it tastes like it's straight out of the kitchen of a real English pub.
