Peanut Butter & Co Description:
Definitely a concept restaurant: the lunch-box special. Oversized peanut-butter sandwiches are served on white bread (or wheat) with carrot sticks and potato chips. There's actually a good range of sandwiches, from the traditional PB&J or fluffer-nutter to avant-garde Thai chicken w/peanut sauce. There are even some non PB options on the menu. The restaurant, with its bright yellow walls, has a strong kindergarten feel.
Come to Peanut Butter & Co. for an all-American nostalgia trip. You can eat peanut butter-and-jelly sandwiches surrounded by vintage lunch boxes and board games, then have an ice cream dessert made with Cap'n Crunch cereal---peanut butter flavor, of course. The best-seller is the Elvis: grilled peanut butter, bananas and honey. If you prefer savory, try the version made with spicy peanut butter, grilled chicken and pineapple jam. The peanut butter is made fresh daily; Skippy fans may find it too much like the health-food version---pasty and a tad bland. And gooberphobes will be happy to know that other lunchbox favorites such as tuna fish and bologna-and-cheese are on the menu, too.
