Background music is generally light classic Indian music rather than Bollywood musicals. Opened in Nov. 2000 by the owners of the distinctive spice and grocery store, Kalustyan's.
Curry Leaf is one of the better selections on Curry Hill, with dishes that are just that much more deeply spiced (and just that much more expensive). Perhaps not so surprising when you know the proprietors also own Kalustyan's, the popular nearby international market. Standouts include gingery chicken kadai and rich navratan curry.
