Casa Description:
The look of this elegant but austere little corner restaurant in the Village is at odds with its take on regional Brazilian home cooking. Somewhat of an elite crowd routinely fills the 34 seats to nibble on very modest (okay, very small) portions of stuffed pastries and cuzcuz (a corn flour pudding mixed with vegetables, sardines and shrimp). Of course, they also go for feijoada, the assorted platter of meats and side dishes that is Brazil's most famous regional dish. Although portions are small, flavor is big.
