Beekman Bar and Books Description:
With two outposts in New York and Prague, this Eastside spot is swankier than its brethren. The décor is bordello chic and the dress code (jacket preferred, no tennis shoes) is enforced. The long list of premium whiskies and the backroom cigar-smoking space inspire lingering. Food is an afterthought, but for the hungry there's plenty to nosh, including prosciutto-topped pizza, finger sandwiches, steamed dumplings and cheese plates.
