BLT Prime Description:
The expansive (and expensive) BLT Prime sports suede banquettes and zebra wood tables that subtly exude stylish chic. Prime boldly places its meat in a viewable dry-aging room near the bar---ensuring that you do not need to ask "where's the beef?" If your dreams include a smoked sea salt American Wagyu Kobe rib-eye, braised short ribs or a 40-ounce portly porterhouse (for two), you're in the right place. The pièce de résistance is la sauce---and lots of it---so top your beef (or poultry or fish) with one of the eight choices such as béarnaise, barbecue, Roquefort or chimichurri. Check out the nightly specials and if you see the Kobe beef carpaccio appetizer, you're in for a good beginning. While some of the sides may seem like average steakhouse fare, a few stand out: the sautéed hen of the woods mushrooms melt in your mouth and the leek hash browns as well as the blue cheese tater-tots are golden twists on tradition. An impressive wine list, a well-stocked bar and a decadent in-your-face dessert table complete a solidly satisfying meal.
