Mo's New York Grill Description:
Yankees fans need no incentive to dine at Mariano Rivera's restaurant but even non-baseball fans will not be disappointed by the late-inning pitcher's skills on the grill or in the kitchen. Photographs of baseball greats hang on the wood walls of this upscale sports bar and restaurant so that patrons, not to mention the staff, can reminisce. Rivera has added a menu item or two that recall his Latin American roots, including the cleverly named Double Play Empanadas, a duo of Spanish chicken and Panamanian seasoned pork served with sour cream and yellow pepper sauce. The veal T-bone is a nice addition to the standard grill selections, served with a creamy Parmesan risotto and assorted peppers, or go for the pan-seared Chilean sea bass with wild rice, chicken Parmigiana or red pepper ravioli with a pink vodka sauce. New York cheesecake, cappuccino mousse cake or an apple galette may follow for dessert. Mo's may not hit it out of the ballpark every time with its cuisine, but it has earned its place in the restaurant game.
