House of Emperor Description:
This top suburban Chinese restaurant serves bountiful portions at very reasonable prices. Sole with Chinese broccoli is one of our favorite dishes; so is the orange peel beef. Not to be ignored at any level are the family dinners. The makeup of each of the selections takes into consideration the very essence of Chinese cookery---variety in preparation styles as well as ingredients. For example, the deluxe dinner for three (which will feed four people easily) includes appetizers of egg roll, fried shrimp, barbecued ribs and crab Rangoon. Next come the main dishes---rib-eye steak, shrimp with lobster sauce, sweet-and-sour chicken and fried rice. Dessert is quartered oranges, almond cookies and fortune cookies. The restaurant features a very clean, bright dining room with tables and booths. It's a good place to go for a family outing. The service is super-efficient, but not pushy.
