Cagibi Description:
Le Cagibi is an all-vegetarian hangout in Montréal's Mile End area, and a spot associated with the alternative, tech-savvy folk and the city's creative class. The coffee isn't the focus here (it's not even very special); it's all about the sumptuous sandwiches, tacos oozing with melting cheese, live music and eclectic crowds. The ambience is decidedly retro, and the one-time pharmacy offers a strange décor that includes poetry dispensed from cigarette machines, found-objects, piles of children's books, old chairs and a wide array of quirky objects. Breakfast burritos come with egg or tofu, served with salsa, yogurt and nachos. The "chilad" salad includes chili, mixed greens and fresh vegetables served with nachos, salsa, yogurt and hot peppers. The main menu includes a quesadilla with mixed spicy vegetables and cheese served with mango salsa, yogurt and salad. Wine and beer are available.
