I think this may be the only Cajun / Creole restaurant in Montreal, which is odd given Montreal's French history. With a that in mind, it's a good thing that La Louisiane is top of its game when it comes to this style of cooking. With an open kitchen and warm and friendly environment, this is a great place especially when dining during those freezing months. The service is awesome and knowledgeable and the food is always better than expected. Try the crab cakes for a real treat. This place is small and only seats about 30 and I don't think they take reservations, so you'd better prepare to wait for that succulent food - but it's well worth it!
