The Keg Description:
Part of a chain of restaurants throughout Canada and four western American states, The Keg has become a fixture in Old Montreal. Set in an aged commercial building, its dark wood and leather décor is elegant and comfortable. Service is reliable and often lively, as is the bar section. The steakhouse standards are solid and feature some interesting cuts or preparations such as the thick and substantial baseball sirloin, while the prime rib is offered in a variety of surf 'n' turf options. Appetizers also widen the range of possibilities, with dishes such as the snap peas and asparagus tempura or the ahi with cucumber-wasabi sauce. The kids' menu includes smoothies and a decent range of options, including sirloin and barbecued chicken breast.
