Review :
I've walked past the Mess Hall on many, many occasion without feeling like I would want to give it a try until one fall evening when my wife and I were starving and thought we'd give it a try. Walking in, the ambience was what I thought it would be, kind of loud with a raucous young crowd hanging around the bar area and a little on the crowded side. We were fortunate enough to get a seat in a booth so we wouldn't be bothered by constant passing elbows. The service was surprisingly attentive and quick. I thought I would be adventurous and ordered the ostrich steak, which came looking like a white-ish fillet mignon. I don't even remember what my wife ordered because my meal was so good, everything else didn't matter! The ostrich steak tasted like buttery beef, juicy, flavourful, tender and more. I've never seen this offered at any other restaurant, so it looks like if I ever get another craving for this dish, it's off to the Mess Hall I go.
