Parking:

Please plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to your ticketed time to allow ample time for parking and check-in. A free covered parking ramp, surface lots and off-street parking are available near the museum.
Handicap parking is available in the 3rd Avenue ramp.

Driving direction to Minneapolis Institute of Arts:
Coming from the north or northeast on I-35W South:
Take I-35W South to I-94 West. Take I-94 West to the Lyndale/Hennepin Avenue exit (Exit 231B). Follow Lyndale Avenue south to 24th Street. Turn left on 24th St. and go to 3rd Ave. South. The Institute is located on the corner of 24th st. and 3rd Ave. South. Enter on 3rd Ave.South.
(Note: Due to construction on the Third Avenue bridge, we are recommending the above route, exiting I-94 on Lyndale, rather than via the 11th Street exit.)

Coming from the west on I-394 East:
Take I-394 East to the Dunwoody boulevard or Hennepin Ave. exit (Exit 8A). Follow Dunwoody Boulevard to Lyndale Ave. Turn right on Lyndale Ave, follow overhead signs to stay on Lyndale, and go south to 24th Street. Turn left on 24th Street and go to Third Ave South. The Institute
is located on the corner of 24th Street and Third Ave South.

Coming from the east on I-94 West:
Take I-94 West to the Lyndale/Hennepin Avenue exit (Exit 231B). Follow Lyndale Avenue south to 24th Street. Turn left on 24th Street and go to Third Avenue South. The Institute is located on the corner of 24th Street and Third Ave South. Enter on Third Ave South.

Coming from the south on I-35W North:
Take I-35W North to the 31st/Lake Streets exit (Exit 15). You will be northbound on Second Avenue South. Stay on Second Ave South in the center lane. Cross Lake Street, staying in the center lane. You will be on Clinton Avenue.
From Clinton Avenue, turn right on 28th Street. Go to Fifth Ave South. Turn left on Fifth Avenue South and go to 26th Street. Turn left on 26th Street and go to Third Ave South. Turn right on Third Ave South and go to 24th Street. The Institute is located on the corner of 24th Street and Third Avenue South.
