Fogo de Chao Description:
The Minneapolis location is one of 15 restaurants spread across the US and Brazil. Fogo de Chao (pronounced fo-go dèe shoun) is a Brazilian steakhouse that offers seasoned meats slow-roasted over an open flame then presented on skewers and carved table-side by Gaúcho chefs.
Lunch about $20, Dinner about $40.

One of the city's most bustling restaurants gives the people what they want: beef, and plenty of it. After visiting an Oscar-worthy salad bar, diners catch the attention of skewer-wielding gauchos by turning a paper coin on their tables from red (stop, I couldn't possibly eat another bite) to green (yes please, I'd like some more), and a friendly staffer seems to instantly materialize, carving off one of 15 different cuts of beef, chicken, pork or lamb. The all-you-can-eat carnage continues until you turn that coin back over to red. Expect to pay about $45 per person at dinner, and roughly half that at lunch; drinks, dessert, tax and gratuity are extra. The dark woods and red color-palette say "steakhouse." Accordingly, service is affable and efficient. No wonder it's always packed.
