West Bank Café Description:
This charming, contemporary dining space serves some of the best Vietnamese cuisine in Wisconsin. You can be assured the restaurant's dishes are authentic; owners Van Ho and husband Dep serve customers the very dishes they ate as children living in South Vietnam. Menu highlights include hearty, traditional soups, lemon grass chicken, catfish in a clay pot, broiled salmon with cucumber sauce, sweet Vietnamese curries, homemade Vietnamese steamed dumplings and delicate spring rolls. Thai and Chinese dishes make their way onto the menu, too, as well as a number of vegetarian entrées. Be sure to check the blackboard at the back of the restaurant for the list of daily specials, such as scallops in spicy black bean sauce.
