Koji Watanabe's restaurant continues to set a standard. The smiles are warm, the service taut and attentive, the food first-rate. Four dining areas even let you pick your atmosphere. All the traditional favorites are here, from tempuras to tonkatsu, but let yourself explore. Some items on the long menu may sound daunting, but when you meet Musashi's broiled squid in ginger sauce or cuttlefish and cod roe you know you were safe all along. The sushi can be a little pricey, but it's worth the splurge. We especially like the eel, but the flying fish roe has a happy snap. We're often content to order an entrée of sashimi, in fact, and take ours straight. On special occasions, be as nice to yourself as you can and have the Wagyu beef.
