Da Edoardo North Description:
The third generation of the Edoardo Barbieri family is involved in this chic spot with a sophisticated, bi-level setting done up in taupe and blue with etched glass and a mural of the Italian Riviera. Huge windows overlook little Smith Lake, where swans and geese entertain those sitting at window tables. The handsome deck is a popular spot in favorable weather. The menu combines both the formal and informal menus at the original Da Edoardo in Grosse Pointe Woods, offering elaborate veal and seafood dishes as well as simple pastas and individual pizzas. Steaks are particularly emphasized here. Notable dishes include fettuccine Gabriela---the noodles tossed with shrimp and artichoke hearts---saltimbocca with fresh mushrooms and char-grilled New York strip steak. All entrées are served with soup or mixed green salad, both of which come recommended. The wine list is Italian and Californian, except for French Champagne.
