Vestiges of the old church that once greeted worshipers remain part of the décor, but folks in the far northern suburbs now come for the comfort food. The interior still sports original stained glass windows and remnants of the altar and nave. Huge wooden tables and church pews beckon crowds of Clarkston professionals to stay awhile and partake in eclectic fare that includes hot sandwiches and char-grilled sausages.
