Knowledgeable boaters tie up in Bolles Harbor marina or exit I-75 and head to chef Silverio Conte's tiny gem to fill up on knockout breakfasts served all day. Favorites include huge banana walnut pancakes, flush with large chunks of nuts; cinnamon raisin bread french toast; and cheese blintzes with fresh berries. Return for lunch and dine on half-pound, hand-formed burgers, perhaps topped with olives and feta cheese. Other sandwiches include a Reuben and smoked turkey, either of which are a good accompaniment to an oversize salad. For dinner, Conte relies on his Italian roots, so look for dishes like gnocchi and veal. With a nod to nearby Lake Erie, you'll also find perch and walleye---plus steak, lamb chops and pizza, along with prime rib on weekends. Fresh fruit smoothies quench our thirst after a morning fishing trip.
