Nami Sushi Bar Description:
Billed as Ferndale's alternative sushi bar, Nami---which means wave---offers tempting cuts of fresh fish, steaming hot bowls of soup or California rolls filled with such delights as spicy tuna or pesto. The place is rather spare, and sometimes the alternative rock station on the radio gets loud. The two or three sushi chefs are chatty, so sit at the bar and watch them prepare the food. More unusual items on the menu include hot atomic rolls with habanero chile peppers and the dessert sushi that includes truffle cheesecake, Oreo or lemonberry bar and caramel apple with warm raspberry sauce.
