Marble Slab Creamery Description:
Marble Slab Creamery started serving ice cream in Houston in 1983 and has since grown into a nationwide chain. Patrons choose a flavor, which is then scooped out and set on their namesake frozen marble slabs to be combined with "mixins" such as fruits, nuts and candies. Ice cream flavors might include vanilla bean, butter pecan, coffee and cheesecake. Milkshakes, fruit smoothies and low-fat yogurt are also available.
