This color-splashed, high-energy spot is part of a small local chain that deals in everything from satays to quesadillas. The results end up somewhere between the super and the superficial, and may have you reaching for a world map to try to find some sense of direction midway through. Barbados baby-back ribs, seasoned with Caribbean spices and brushed with a rum-laced barbecue sauce, make a sure-bet dish. Another winner is a spicy stew with Malaysian connections, loaded with fresh seafood and sparked with coconut milk, chili and ginger. But more often the multiple layers of flavors create little more than culinary confusion.
