Rincon Chileno Description:
After emigrating from Santiago, Ricardo Flores opened Rincon Chileno in 1973, cooking---alongside his mother---the rarely seen cuisine of their homeland. The restaurant quickly became a gathering place for homesick Chileans and soon gained popularity with Angelenos due to the hearty food and inviting environment. The restaurant specializes in well-balanced seafood and steak dishes, plus Pastel de Choclo, a savory corn pie filled with chicken, ground beef and green olives. After 30-plus years in business, Rincon Chileno has expanded, and now includes a deli that sells Chilean baked goods, empanadas and imported groceries.
