Buggy Whip Description:
The Buggy Whip has been going strong since 1949 and, we suspect, hasn't changed much since. But in compulsively trend-conscious L.A., that's a refreshing concept. Indeed, walking into the clubby dining room with its red leather booths, piano player crooning Sinatra classics and popularity of old-fashioned cocktails (not much demand for flavored saké martinis here), is like entering a time warp to the Rat Pack era. The kitchen does a respectable job with old-fashioned favorites such as shrimp cocktail, Green Goddess salad, prime rib, cioppino, stone crab claws, and hearty steaks.
