In this charming shrine to the Camellia sinensis, the Latin name for the tea plant, the walls are lined floor-to-ceiling with large jars of more than 300 varieties of international teas. Green teas, smoked black teas, herbal tisanes and more hail from unexpected places such as Africa, Turkey and Russia, as well as from more traditional tea centers like Asia and England. You can buy tea by the ounce or the pound. Or it's a treat to simply sit and enjoy a steaming pot and a scone or tea sandwich while perusing the vast menu, a virtual encyclopedia of tea. Sandwiches are highlighted by the Punjab---eggs marinated in smoked tea and mixed with mayo and chives---and the Mediterranean---goat cheese, watercress and olivade spread. Also located at 79 N.
