The Museum is within the Congestion Charging Zone and there is very little parking in the area. There is limited parking in the Museum’s forecourt for disabled users only. General Rules:
Before you enter the exhibition:Only small bags will be allowed into the exhibition (35 x 33 x 13cm max)
Large bags, coats, umbrellas, etc. should be left in the cloakrooms
The main cloakrooms are located to the left of the Main entrance, next to the Children’s shop, £1 per item. Large luggage can be left at the Montague Place entrance cloakroom, £1 per item.
The Museum reserves the right to search any bags or personal items being taken into the exhibition

Driving direction to British Museum:
The main entrance to the British Museum is on Great Russell Street. There is an alternative entrance on Montague Place.
