Red Pepper Description:
On a quiet, shop-lined street in this Maida Vale backwater, The Red Pepper has carved a niche by making surprisingly good pizzas in its wood-fired oven downstairs (it was one of the first in London). Decoration is sparse and tables tightly packed in the ground floor room. Pizzas change often, or you can choose from equally varied pasta or just simple grilled fish. The wine list is Italian; the place is fun.
