This consistently good and welcoming local brasserie serves just what the clientele appreciates: a classic mix of crab salad, duck confit, garlicky soupe de poissons, snails in puff pastry, oysters, scallops and Toulouse sausage in lentils, all well prepared and nothing to frighten the timid. This is a place for those with a nostalgia for their second homes in France and under Didier Garnier, the restaurant continues its very French path, which the wine list follows as well. The terrace with smart stripy awning is a real draw in the summer. Set 2-course lunch including coffee £16.50.
