Geales Description:
One of the owners is ambitious chef Garry Hollihead who has transformed the place into a very attractive fish restaurant with tables spilling out onto the pavement. Starters are topnotch: organic smoked salmon, soft-shell crab with a Thai dipping sauce, prawn and avocado salad. But despite the tempting mains of lobster tagliatelle or even sirloin steak, the main point here is fish in batter, cod, sole or haddock, though of a first-rate kind and freshly caught off Cornwall. And the chips are real treats. There's a posh Champagne bar to please the locals and the black and grey décor is a chic setting for them.
