Engineer, The Description:
This is a real favorite among the local inhabitants and well worth seeking out if you're enjoying the open-air expanse of nearby Primrose Hill. You can dine either in the bar, in the garden, in an upstairs room or a small dining room, but you'll get the same accomplished cooking. Breakfast scores highly with The Engineer smoothie for the healthy, and the full breakfast for the hungry (and the healthy, it's all correctly organic). For main meals, starters might include soup of the day with homemade bread, and salmon with kohlrabi slaw and horseradish cream cheese; mains run from miso-marinated sea bass with bok choi or chicken breast with pea and flageolet bean stew. Homemade puddings include a particularly rich chocolate tiramisu and a Bakewell tart with vanilla custard. The menu is small but well chosen; the staff particularly friendly and the ambience welcoming.
